Sports Clubs

Trying to locate a competitive sport club or a recreational student group? There are numerous opportunities for students to participate in competitive sport activities in addition to NCAA Intercollegiate Athletics which are administered through the GVSU Athletics Department. More information is available at www.gvsulakers.collegesports.com

The following registered student organizations listed below are available to Grand Valley students who wish to participate in an organized program that competes against other colleges. Some of these teams are highly competitive and compete on a national level. These student organizations (teams) are registered with the Office of Student Life. Many teams have a coach in addition to their faculty advisor. Team leadership is often in transition during the off season and at times may be difficult to contact. Many of these teams receive some financial support from the Student Senate funding process which supplements team member dues and fund raising events to support team operations. Student organizations maintain their own team web sites which are linked below.

A third area of opportunity for students to be active in athletic activities is through the Intramural Sports Program on campus. Students compete in individual and team sports on campus against other students. More information is available at www.gvsu.edu/wellness/intramurals
